Avoid ‘The Kingdom’
This movie clearly tries to pull you into to the debate of ’should we be fighting over there or not?’ Don’t let it pull you in there and avoid it altogether. ‘The Kingdom’ is dramatic and has only a few fighting, blow ‘em up scenes that we can truly enjoy.
Usually I would say that movies don’t need to be realistic, but when it comes to movies that have some true history in them it’s different. This movie is far from realistic, which takes away from you being able to enjoy it.
And then there’s the acting. I’m not a fan of Jamie Foxx and having him being the leader of the group was a big downer for me. Both him and Jennifer Gardner were not convincing. Of course I can’t imagine her being the tough girl. Sure she played ‘Elektra’ but she wasn’t very good in that either.
Don’t bother wasting you hard earned money on a movie that will bore you to no end. If people are going to come out with a movie like this they need to do it right!
